    Abstract: 長老做一些驅邪或治病的儀式。用茅草（batam），跟現在做掃把用的茅草不一樣，這個茅草比做掃把的還大。布農族的狩獵文化、農業生活，都離不開宗教祭儀的行為，布農族人一年四季的祭儀相當繁多，從開墾、而祭司與巫師則是主要的宗教執行者，所有的農業祭儀及農業活動，社民均須聽從祭司的指導從事這些活動。
