The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between Leader-Member Exchange (LMX) and perceptions of organizational politics and its three dimensions (general political behavior、go along to get ahead、pay and promotion policies). Moreover, this study is also to explore the moderating effect of workplace friendship. Previous studies state that there may be an unclear relationship between LMX and perceptions of organizational politics. By reasoning, workplace friendship may have some effect of the relationship between LMX and perceptions of organizational politics. Data for this study were obtained by means of questionnaires from different industrial full-time employees. The empirical data stated that LMX is negatively associated with perceptions of organizational politics, especially a significant negative impact on the general political behavior. But workplace friendship does not have the moderating effect on them. Practical suggestions and future suggestions are also provided.
