Abstract:	本研究旨在探討國小高年級學童對鬼的意象及恐懼的現況及相關，並綜合研究結果提出具體建議，作為發展生死教育與相關人士的參考。本研究採用調查研究法。研究對象為就讀於中部地區的國小高年級學童共1146人。問卷分成三個部分，第一個部分為「個人背景資料調查表」共計五題；第二個部分為「對鬼的意象」共計十五題；第三部分為「對鬼的恐懼」共計四十七題。所得資料採描述性統計、平均數、標準差、單因子變異數分析、t-檢定、卡方分析等統計方法加以處理。　　　根據研究發現，歸納研究結論如下：一、國小高年級學童對鬼的意象以女性、穿著純白衣服、身材高瘦、留長/直髮為多。二、國小高年級學童面對特定的地點、時間、物品、人物、事件會特別恐懼鬼。三、國小高年級女學童比國小高年級男學童更為恐懼鬼。四、看鬼片、鬼故事的頻率和對鬼的恐懼有部分相關。五、是否參加過喪禮和對鬼的恐懼無相關。　　　根據研究結果，研究者提出具體建議，包括對家長與教師、傳播媒體、出版社與未來研究等方面，以作為推動生死教育及後續研究之參考。　　The study aims to explore a current situation and study the relationship between senior elementary school student's image and fear for a ghost. It also integrates the study results to provide specific recommendations on developing Life and Death Education or to be used for related people's reference. The study uses Survey Research Method, and the survey subjects were 1146 senior elementary school students studying in central Taiwan. The survey questionnaire is divided into three parts. The first portion, made up of five questions, is used to gather the subjects ＂demographic data＂. The second portion intends to paint the respondent's ＂Image of Ghost＂ through a question set of fifteen questions. The third portion comprising forty-seven questions is to understand respondent's ＂Fear of Ghost＂. The survey result was then analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way analysis of variance, t test, and Chi-square test methods.　　　Based on the findings, the conclusions are as follows: 1. Most senior elementary school students's image of a ghost is a female dressed in white clothes, tall and thin, with long straight hairs. 2. Senior elementary school students are particularly fearful of ghosts when they are facing specific places, time, things, people, and events. 3. Compared against male students, female senior elementary school students are more fearful of ghosts. 4. The frequency of watching ghost movies or reading ghost stories has some correlation with the fear of ghosts. 5. Attending funeral has no impact on respondents' fear of ghosts.　　　From the study results, the researchers provide recommendations for parents, teachers, media, publishing and future research in order to promote Life and Death Education and follow-up study.
