Digital materials are special products. The textbook publishers have to offer their service in teachers’normal use. Therefore, the publishers need to change their service awareness. More specifically, they actively develop supplementary materials to provide thorough help for teachers. By means of teachers’ inspection on the digital materials, the teaching process, and the teaching experience, the publishers have to overcome the shortcomings of the products to meet teachers’ needs. The study is aimed to analyze social studies teachers’ satisfaction with digital materials. The status of market demand was discussed in the research. Questionnaire was adopted as the research method. The social studies teachers in Tainan and Chia-yi were selected to answer the questions by means of quota sampling. The information collected was analyzed by IPA and was expected to give suggestions for further studies on the development of digital materials. It concludes that:1.the kinds of digital materials: the most important is teaching type and the least important is e-book type;the most satisfied is examination type and the least satisfied is homepage type.2.the quality of digital materials: the most important is teaching design and the least important is interactive design;the most satisfied is examination design and the least satisfied is interactive design.3.The difference in teaching PPT between the teachers from difference subjects and the kinds of digital materials is significant. The difference in “the ability to communicate” between the teachers from different subjects and the quality of digital materials is significant. 4.The kinds of digital materials which have to be improved is the way to download the teaching sources. As to the quality, how to meet to the learners’ daily life experiences has to be improved. The research is expected to make the textbook publishers understand the teachers’ real needs and enhance the efficiency of digital materials. Thus, more teachers are able to apply the digital teaching sources to their teaching and students can benefit from it.
