    摘要:   本研究主要比較噴霧吸入不同品種的迷迭香萃取液對心率變異之影響。研究對象為南部某大學學生共37名(男性14名,女性23名),平均年齡為22.02 ± 0.9歲,平均體重為 62.8 ± 12.8 Kg,平均身高為167.9 ± 7.1 cm,平均身體質量指數 (Body Mass Index, BMI) 為22.9 ± 3.8 Kg/m2。實驗組分為8組,分別以自然農法種植之抱木迷迭香(Lockwood Rosemary)組、聖芭芭迷迭香(Santa Barbara Rosemary)組、迷迭香(Rosemary)組、匍匐迷迭香(Severn Sea Rosemary)組、寬葉迷迭香(Rex Rosemary)組、斑葉迷迭香(Variegated Rosemary)組、針葉迷迭香(Pine Rosemary)組、粉紅迷迭香(Pink Rosemary)組。控制組之實驗流程為靜坐10分鐘後,進行5分鐘的心率變異測量,噴霧吸入組之實驗流程為噴霧器裏加入50 mL蒸餾水及200 mL迷迭香萃取液,聞迷迭香的噴霧10 分鐘後,進行5分鐘的心率變異測量。   各組內之心率變異前後平均值採成對樣本t檢定 (paired t-test),比較組內的平均心跳速 (mean heart rate, MHR)、QRS波、正常心跳間距標準差(standard deviation of normal to normal, SDNN)、正常心跳間期差值平方和的均方根 (the square root of the mean of the sum of the squares of differences between adjacent NN intervals, RMSSD),低高頻功率與高頻功率之比值 (LF/HF ratio, LF/HF) 等測量值之前後平均數之差異,噴霧吸入組與控制組亦採成對樣本t檢定(paired t-test),比較組間其心率變異百分改變量值之差異。   實驗結果表示,抱木迷迭香組、匍匐迷迭香組、針葉迷迭香組、寬葉迷迭香組、斑葉迷迭香組、粉紅迷迭香組等實驗組別之LF/HF比值雖呈現下降趨勢,卻未達顯著差異;聖芭芭迷迭香、迷迭香組之LF/HF比值有上升趨勢,卻也未達顯著差異。
      This study was designed to investigate the effects of inhaling rosemary extract vapors on heart rate variability (HRV). Thirty-seven healthy undergraduate students of a university in Southern Taiwan (14 males, 23 females) participated in this study. The subjects’ average (±SD) age, weight, height and body mass index (BMI) were 22.0 ± 0.9 years, 62.8 ±12.8 kg, 167.9 ±7.1 cm and 22.9 ± 3.8 kg/m2, respectively. Eight rosemary varieties were used, namely: Lockwood, Santa Barbara, Rosemary, Severn Sea, Rex, Variegated, Pine and Pink. The control group was asked to sit still for 10 minutes, after which their heart rate variability were measured for 5 min. The eight inhaling groups (divided according to the rosemary varieties) inhaled their respective extract vapors for 10 min, after which their heart rate variability were measured for 5 min. Vaporizers used in this study contained 50 mL rosemary extract solution and 200 mL distillated water.   For statistical analysis, a paired t-test was used to measure heart rate variability within control groups and inhaling groups: mean heart rate (MHR), QRS wave (QRS), standard deviation of all normal to normal intervals (SDNN), the square root of the mean of the sum of the squares of differences between adjacent NN intervals (RMSSD), low frequency power (LF) to high frequency power (HF) ratio (LF/HF). Paired t-test was also used to analyze standardized percentage changes (?? %) and heart rate variability within control groups and inhaling groups.    Results from the paired t-test showed that although the LF/HF ratio of Lockwood, Severn Sea, Pine, Rex, Variegated and Pink Rosemary groups decreased, no significant differences were found. The LF/HF ratio of the Santa Barbara Rosemary and Rosemary groups increased, however, no significant differences were found.
