本研究旨在探討美國殯葬教育課程設計現況,再嘗試從美國殯葬教育課程的設計的模式來反觀台灣殯葬相關教育的現況,藉以洞悉我國殯葬教育之困境。 本研究採取文獻分析法進行研究。並根據研究結果提出具體建議。 研究結果顯示 1.美國各州都已針對殯葬教育制定相關的法令規定。 2.美國各殯葬院校的殯葬教育學程,需經由美國殯葬服務教育協會( ABFSE )的專業評鑑。 3.美國殯葬院校型態有二專、學院及大學。 4.公共衛生相關學術及企業管理課程佔全部課程規劃的七成。 5.美國殯葬人員的證照考試著重實務,與美國殯葬服務教育協會所規劃的課程內容有相當大的差距。 6.我國殯葬教育仍在起步階段,應參考美國經驗去蕪存菁,規劃適用於本土的課程設計。 The purpose of this study was to explore the curriculum design of Funeral Service Education in USA. To retrospect the current condition of Funeral Service Education in Taiwan and to improve the difficulties of this field in Taiwan are also the targets of this research. The method used in this study is documentary analysis. The specific findings are stated below: 1.The U.S.A has regulation of the Funeral Service Education. 2.The program of Funeral Service Curriculum has to be evaluated by American Board of Funeral Service Education. 3.The types of Funeral College include 2-year, 4-year college and university. 4.Public Health & Technical and Business Management accounts for 70% of the Funeral Service Education. 5.The content of the test of certificate of Funeral Service tends to be practical which is deviated with the program of ABFSE. 6.The Funeral Service Education in Taiwan is just on the starting phase. To get rid of the ups and downs of these American experiences and to design local curriculum are urgent to be done.
