摘要:	對死亡的種種觀點，無論是想法、感受以及反應態度，都是每個人所具備之獨特的死亡觀，而死亡觀的呈顯或傳輸面貌在學術界卻極少為人所關注。本研究探討在死亡相關處境或對話下，人們死亡觀表述形式呈現種種轉折，形成之「死亡觀折射現象」，試圖建構初步的理論；並進一步探討死亡做為生命反思性對照之意義下，個人在死亡思維中所演繹出的存活信念為何，亦即「活著」是否能在死亡觀裡被看見。　　　本研究採立意抽樣，以國小教師為例，對八位受訪者進行深度訪談蒐集經驗資料，以紮根理論研究法進行資料譯碼與理論建構。研究發現，人們死亡觀之呈顯面貌如同物理學光之折射現象，內心所確信的死亡觀卻在某些特殊情境下呈現轉折，折射成不一致的行動或說法，如同光由A介質進入B介質時，由於傳播速度不同因而產生折射，促使光的行進方向與原來的不同；抑或在某些特殊狀況下，死亡觀之呈顯具有內外一致性，如同光經由法線通過兩個介質時沒有產生折射。此等「死亡觀之折射現象」為本研究主要論點，共計發展出四種死亡觀折射現象，分別為：　一、死亡觀對外折射現象：指在特定對象與表述行動之條件下，死亡觀之表述呈現外在行動與內在信念不一致的現象。　二、死亡觀內在折射現象：指不刻意對特定對象行動之條件下，死亡觀之形塑或表述在內心出現前後思維的改變或不一致的現象。　三、死亡觀沒有折射現象：指在特定對象與表述行動之條件下，死亡觀之表述呈現外在行動與內在信念較為一致的現象。但特別留意此沒有折射現象展現之前可能已經歷過內在折射現象，故兩者之間在某些時候具有游移關係。　四、死亡觀多種折射現象：有下列兩種釋義：（一）人們死亡觀表述形式因人因事制宜，在同一個人身上可以看見對外折射、內在折射以及沒有折射三種折射現象交互共融的呈顯。（二）人們對死亡的關注與思維演繹出多元的存活信念，有如陽光透過三稜鏡，在某種角度下可以折射成彩虹色光般眩麗。以死亡做為生命反思性之對照，人們從中演繹出各種存活人世間的信念，信念付諸行動，構成一幅幅「活著姿態」的人生百繪圖。　　　由於本研究所發展的「死亡觀之折射現象」為一初探性研究，實有相當值得討論與修改空間，故於最後一章，針對本研究之理論建構歷程中所引發的問題進行反思，提供有興趣進一步深化此理論者參考與借鏡。　　The view of death of each person is unique in terms of thought, feeling, and attitude. However, the research on the expression of the view of death has long received insignificant intellectual attention. In this paper, the shift phenomenon in expressing death-related issues occurred in the situation or conversation related to death is our major focus of investigation; namely the refraction phenomenon of view of death. In addition to constructing a preliminary theory, we attempt to investigate the beliefs of living which is directed by the view of death under the consideration of viewing death as a life self-reflexive. In other words, our aim is to theorize whether living is visible in the view of death.　　　The grounded theory is used to process data coding and to construct the proposed theory, while the data are collected from thorough interviews with eight candidates selected among fundamental schoolteachers of the same school by using purposely sampling theory . The research found that the view of death a person express is usually different from that resides in his/her mind in different situations. The phenomenon is very much similar to the refraction of light, in which the direction of light is changed while passing through different mediums. The special case in which the expression is consistent with that in mind may also occur. This phenomenon is similar to the case that light passes the interface of two different mediums with orthogonal direction. Based on the concept of the refraction phenomenon, this research further classifies the refraction into four types. 　Ⅰ.The outward refraction: this means the expression of the view of death is inconsistent with that in the mind in face of certain person and activity.Ⅱ. The inside refraction: this means the view of death is changed inside of the mind due to the passage of time. This is a case that occurs without the face of certain person or event.Ⅲ.The non-refraction: this means the expression of the view of death is consistent with that in the mind in face of certain person and activity. It should be noted that the expression of this type might occur due to the already experienced inward refraction. Therefore, there is a gray area in making a clear distinction between the inward refraction and non-refraction. Ⅳ.The multiple refractions: this type can be further classified into two sub-categories. （i）Multiple types of the refraction, including outward refraction, inward refraction and non-refraction combined in the expression of the view of death in face of certain person and event. （ii）Multiple beliefs of living are directed by both the care and thinking of death. This type of refraction is like the phenomenon when color light is generated by a ray of light passing through a triangular prism. This kind of self-reflexive to death and the execution of the beliefs create the dimensions of rich life filled up with living attitudes. 　　　As the research on the refraction phenomenon of the view of death is just a beginning, there are many issues left for discussion and revision. Therefore, we discuss the issues induced by creating the theory in the last chapter for the reference for the researchers who are interested in extending this research.
