This research aims at exploring the adjusting process of hemodialysis patient's spouse. There are ten research participants. In applying the qualitative method, the researcher collects the data mainly by way of in-depth interviews, which is conducted on the basis of a semi-structural interview guide. As for the interpretations, it proceeds with a conceptual analysis following a series of open-coding work. The researcher divides the participants into three groups, i.e., 1. initial stage, 2. middle stage, 3. final stage, in terms of the number of years they take care of the hemodialysis patients. As such, the adjusting process of the spouse is laid out. Moreover, the result of analysis is presented through a variety of aspects inclusive of (1)medical process, (2)caring process, (3)life-adjusting process, (4)pressure-adjusting process, (5)life-and-death attitudes, and (6)meaning of life. Finally, based on the findings, the researcher also proposes a number of theoretical and practical advices to later researchers as well as medical staff and supporters involved.
