摘要:	由於家庭結構的快速變遷，使得單親家庭增加，由於其經濟結構、成員組成…等已不同於一般傳統的核心家庭，因而在住宅的需求方面必有所不同。在歐美已有相關的政策與措施的施行；反觀國內，住宅市場中住宅設計的形式多數仍是以三房兩廳的核心家庭形式為主，顯少有針對不同家庭型態為對象的住宅設計出現，然政府的權責相關單位雖已注意到此議題的嚴重性，卻少有關於單親家庭的專門法案。因此，本研究試圖從單親母親的居住經驗與相關住宅福利政策出發，探討單親婦女的居住處境。　　　透過深度訪談與參與觀察的方式，分享不同居住方式的（平價住宅、出租國宅、慧心家園、一般租屋）單親媽媽們日常生活的居住經驗，了解單親媽媽們在空間方面所遭遇的處境；了解婚姻狀況轉變中的居住經驗、對家的定義與感想、如何擁有自己的居住空間、以及如何改造自己的生活空間...等等，再從私領域擴及公領域，探討單親母親與周圍環境的互動情形，檢視社會的價值觀與想法是如何限制單親母親的空間選擇。　　　此外，透過不同居住方式經驗的比較，並從相關政策產生的脈絡與執行來探討國家權力介入的程度，如何塑造單親媽媽的日常生活與工作空間，以及這其中的意識形態的運作過程。　　Single parent families have increased due to rapid transition of family structure. The housing needs of single parent families are different from those of traditional nuclear families because their difference in economic status and the component of family member. While there are housing design based on the needs of single parent families in Europe and America, the principle housing form in Taiwan is still three-bedroom-two-parlor-apartment for nuclear families nowadays. Although the government has noticed this problem, there is a lack of welfare and housing policies to improve the situation. Therefore, this research starts from exploring living experiences of single mothers and the policies of housing and social welfare to examine housing conditions of single mothers.　　　This thesis uses in-depth interview and participation observation to explore daily experiences of single mothers in low-cost housing projects, public rental housing, Hui-Xin single mothers homestead, and private rental housing. The research questions include their housing experiences during the marriage breakdown, their definition and opinion about home and family, the process to find and create their own private space, and the way to change the living space around them. The discussion will deal with the private as well as the public space in order to explore single mothers’ interaction with the surrounding environment. Finally, the research will examine how social value limits choices of single mothers in finding a home and creating their own space.　　　In addition, this research will explore the context of policy-making and the process of implementation in order to know the method and ideology of state intervention, which has affected the space of daily life and work of single mothers.
