國民小學的志工是指志願服務於國小中,無償的奉獻工作時間,協助各項校務的推動。學校方面不但可以得到人力的支援,更可以透過與社區人士的密切往來,使學校與社區的關係更為密切。而參與國小志工服務的民眾則可以藉此機會更了解小孩的的學習狀況,並透過志願服務工作中,得到自我肯定機會。研究者以嘉義縣、市國民小學的志工家長為抽樣調查對象,使用問卷方法調查不同學校背景、個人背景與不同服務情形的志工,在其服務動機與滿足感上是否有所差異。 研究結果顯示志工主要的來源以家庭主婦為主,其所從事的工作多為校園總務工作。擔任學校志工的原因多數是為了關心、更了解子女在學校的學習情形與生活狀況,但這類志工可能隨著學生畢業而流失;而長期留在學校服務的志工、服務時數多而固定者,服務動機多是為成就人生的理想為目標,也都能得到其滿足感。年紀較輕的家長,亦希望透過擔任志工對小孩子的學習有所幫助。在學校的情形方面,規模較大的國小志工對小孩的課業較為重視,而歷史悠久的學校,擔任志工則可贏得尊敬。在性別方面,男性擔任志工的動機為自我實現,女性志工則多為關心子女;學歷較高的志工,多是受了團體的影響而擔任志工。 The voluntary work of elementary school means the non-paid work on assisting and facilitating all school functions. The school can not only gain the human resource but also enhance its relation with community through intense interaction with the residents. On the other hand, volunteers can better understand their children's study condition and also gain self-encouragement. The paper takes sample from the parents of school students who are volunteers in the elementary schools in Chia-yi City and County to examine if different school or personal condition can influence their motivation and satisfaction in the services. The study shows that the household wives comprise voluntary team mostly and they are generally in charge of general administration of the school. Their motivation derives mostly from the concerns of the conditions of their children in the school. But they also discontinue the service while their children graduate when the long-term and long-working-time are mostly for fulfilling their life goals. The younger parents also hope to help their children's studying through this work. The school with greater scale of volunteers pays more attentions on study. The male volunteers are mostly for achieving their life goals and the female ones are mostly for caring children. Volunteers with higher degree are most derived from the social association.
