「暴力」題材在韓國電影雖歷史已久,然朴贊郁電影命名使用兩次英譯的「憐憫/同理」(sympathy)辭彙,透露出其處理此復仇系列電影的內在投射:憐憫與復仇並存,就如同電影中人性與魔性、理性與暴力本能的辯證關係,此即本文亟欲處理的主旨。透過分析朴贊郁電影的敘事特點:延遲、重複、轉喻及荒誕的象徵手段,本文探析其隱藏的深層意識。朴贊郁電影在虛擬的復仇與暴虐的影像敘事結構,透露出部分未曾言明的精神狀態,此集體精神狀態與韓國的快速現代化發展與文化特性密切相關,其中的暴虐與魔性也往往伴隨著文明,並隨著文明演化而改變形式。 "Violence" is common themes in the Korean film. Park Chan Wook’s film using the word of "sympathy" twice, revealing its internal preset, discussing compassion and revenge coexist, just as the dialectical relationship of humanity and devilishness, reason and instinct of violence. Through Narrative analysis: information delay and repeat, metonymy and uncanny symbol, Park Chan-wook’s film revealing part of the obscure mental state, and the collective consciousness related to the rapid modernization of Korea, in which the tyranny and evil often accompanied by civilization, and change form.
