Anthropogenic emissions result in the rapid increase in earth's average surface temperature as well as extreme weather events, which threaten food security and lives of hundreds of millions of people. Thus, humans inevitably have to take actions to solve global climate problems. However, the actions are matters of the distribution of climate responsibilities. It concerns how intergenerational and intragenerational groups use the natural resources, and how much climate responsibilities those groups have to undertake? For these reasons, climate change becomes a universal ethical issue. According to this paper, climate change is not a profound political and social problems, but also ethical one. We need to realize intergenerational and intragenerational justices in order to solve the global climate problems, but the latter is the premise of the former. This paper is aimed to clarify the relationship between ethics and climate change upon the ethical viewpoints. It has made contributions not only in the deepening of understanding of global climate problems, but also the research of climate change in social science.
