摘要: | 這是一本研究「學佛」歷程之論文,並非是一般研究「佛學」之論文,「學佛」與「佛學」並不相同,學佛之論文必須要掌握研究者個人內心是否依照經論的向內調伏,並且要數數串習、不斷的提升與進步,因此,論文架構必然也是有別於一般佛學研究之架構。本論文較接近於社會科學之研究,研究者投入社工界已超過二十餘載,有鑑於社工員的內在衝突愈來愈多,探討社工員困境的相關研究也如雨後春筍般的出現,愈來愈多的實務工作者將個人的困境書寫成論文,試圖從論文中獲得解脫,即便無法解決,也希望能得到一種新的視框,重新理解自己與社會工作之間的依存關係。 「自我敘說」的研究方法,可以從「經驗我」再現成「文本我」,再透過詮釋及反思而成為「詮釋我」,又經由「意義」的重現或視框的轉移又回到自身的生命經驗中。因此,本論文乃從《菩提道次第廣論》的理論架構,耙梳個人從社工界的專業人轉化為關注自、他無限生命的修行人之轉化過程,其中最大的轉折點乃為從同理心邁向菩提心之實踐歷程,此過程透由敘說、書寫與反思的研究過程進行以管窺天,從個人的實務經驗觀看到整體社會工作之展現,同時也從佛法對人類生命更寬廣的詮釋角度回觀及反思社會工作之助人理念,在經驗、理解、詮釋、與意義再現之過程中,新視框隨之產生。 在研究結尾,研究者提出菩提心能補充在同理心工作中助人專業之不圓滿,特別是以「觀功念恩」、「忍辱度」之方法所朝向菩提心之實踐內涵,可以協助個人視框之轉移,比方說轉過患為功德、從自利轉變成是以利他為重心之生命態度、以及要斷除瞋恚、觀業忍受成就菩提道之落實等,這些都可以整合至專業工作中,並重整社會工作之專業價值。最後,期許眾人皆能達致自利、利他生命宗旨之完成。 Learning to be a Buddhist and studying the contents of Buddhism are not all the same. Different from other academic research, studying the contents of Buddhism, this work emphasizes the process that the researcher learns to be a Buddhist. To complete a proper research process, the researcher who learns to be a Buddhist must moderate and subdue internal afflictions and always keep practicing to make continuous improvements by following the teachings of the Buddha. Thus the research framework of this work is necessarily different from those works studying the contents of Buddhism, and is much closer to those of social science studies. Being a social worker over 20 years, the purpose of this research is to investigate the researcher's own narrative experiences of inner-conflicts in social work practice. By documenting what the narrator experienced in professional practice, this study attempts to obtain a frame that underlies the interdependence between the researcher and the social work as her profession. This study uses the “self-narrative” research method. This method allows the researcher to reproduce "narrated self" from "experienced self". Then to produce "interpreted self" through interpreting and reflecting. Finally return to the researcher's own life experiences through reproduction of “meaning” or transformation of view. This ideological framework of this study is based on “The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment”, written by Tsong-Kha-Pa, as one of the greatest guide book to learn and become a Buddhist. The researcher investigates her own transformation process of from being a professional social worker to becoming a Buddhist, engaging in the happiness and suffers of self and other sentient beings' infinite lives. In this study, the researcher focuses on the process of from being empathy to becoming with bodhicitta. Through the process of this “self-narrating”, the researcher experiences how social work implements in the society and understands how Buddhism views humanity and also reflects the idea of helping in social work. The new framework thus is discovered. The researcher found that bodhicitta can solve the inability of empathy used in helping others. In particular, through observing merits and appreciating kindness (OMAK), it can transform one's view successfully from looking for others' faults to their strengths; through practicing to achieve the “perfection of patience”, it can transform one's attitude from pursuing self-benefit to other's benefit. Using these ways, one can also get rid of anger, endure the suffer caused by the past evil behaviors to fulfill the path to enlightenment. These kinds of practice can be integrated to the daily life of a social worker to have a job done professionally and successfully. It can rebuild the professional value of a social worker. Finally, wish everyone can achieve the great life mission of helping one self and all others. |
