Having participated in the NTU Lion-Roaring Sutra Reading Online Club for five years, the author also took courses on Jung's Analytical Psychology. Jung has stated that the development of individuation process would be accompanied by the change of one's archetypal image and psychological types. Thus inspired author's motivation to study whether individuation process has taken place on the senior members of Reading Online Club as well. In this study, three senior members who have participated in NTU Lion-Roaring Sutra Reading Online Club for more than ten years were selected with purposive sampling based on Jung's individuation process. After combining the analysis of participants' life stories using the narrative research “whole-content” approach and references to the current researches, there are six important life stages that can be cross-referenced with the individuation process: “The practice of Buddhism from the shadow of death,” “the transformation of animus and animus in Buddhism practices,” “the wise old man archetypal image as a practitioner and guide,” “learn to develop inferior functions at sutra reading online club”, “sutra reading renews the self and benefits others,” and “ NTU Lion-Roaring site could vanish eventually as a Repeated image of death” Finally, this study provides suggestions for future research on reading online clubs, online interpersonal relationships, and Buddhist sutra reading.
