At a particular juncture, the author watched the movie “The Silent Forest”, and the helpless expression of sadness on Beibei's face after being sexually assaulted deeply imprinted in the author's mind. Based on the theory of “Egoism” , the author employs camera analysis and semiotic analysis to investigate the reasons behind the bystander phenomenon in the context of campus sexual assault depicted in the movie “The Silent Forest”. Through the use of semi-structured interviews, the author synthesizes and integrates the interview findings, conducting an analysis and discussion. It reflects the differences in perspectives and approaches between the principal and the teacher regarding campus bullying and sexual assault incidents. The principal emphasizes handling the cases according to the law and notifying parents, while the teacher emphasizes building a good teacher-student relationship and having keen observation skills. In modern society, schools generally strive to address bullying incidents and protect the rights of victims. However, these viewpoints also reflect the challenges and limitations in addressing campus bullying and sexual assault incidents in different social and temporal contexts.
