    Abstract: 謝林歷史哲學的基本對象在於解釋：「高等歷史」乃是世俗歷史的意義來源。然而，「高等歷史」卻建立在潛勢論與啟示兩者的形上學基礎上。在潛勢論中，謝林肯定著神有創造的自由，並在承認異己者的存在時，使得時間、歷史與世界得以開展。啟示的原則提供一普遍基礎，涵蓋著神話意識與異教的歷史過程；並藉由三位一體觀來開展創造、墮落、拯救的宗教歷史場景。歷史與啟示兩者在概念上彼此相關，並構成晚年謝林哲學的基本論點。
