放赦,又稱「頒赦」、「頒降赦書」,是臺灣靈寶道派拔度齋科中的一項重要科目。放赦科儀的核心宗旨就是「赦免」與「救度」,即赦免亡魂罪業,救度其出離地獄,進而往生天界。放赦科儀最早可追溯至唐宋之季,今臺南及高屏地區靈寶道壇大抵承襲了這一傳統,不過在諸多科演細節上二地則存在明顯的地域性差異。本文試以臺南「放赦馬」和高屏「放龍鳳」為案例,結合相關史料,翔實地分析了科儀文本中所蘊含的宗教內涵,分別論述了這兩項科儀的程序流程及科介表演,並對二地科演上的差異做了比對和梳理。 “FangShe”(「放赦」)or “BanShe”(「頒赦」)and “BanJiangSheShu”(「頒降赦書」)is an important subject of forgiving and saving the ghosts of Taiwan LingBao Daoism(靈寶道派). The core of the rituals of “FangShe” is to forgive and save, which means forgiving the sin, saving the soul from the hell and helping it enter the heaven. The rituals of “FangShe” could be traced back to Tang and Song Dynasty. Southern Taiwan and Gaoping district mostly inherited this tradition, but there were some obvious differences of technical details between two districts. Taking “FangSheMa”(「放赦馬」)of Southern Taiwan and “FangLongFeng”(「放龍鳳」)of Gaoping district for example and combining some relevant historical material, this article analyzed the religious connotation in the text of rituals, discussed the application process and technical performance of the two rituals and did contrast on differences between the two technical performance.
