    Abstract: 這是澎湖東衡王醮陣頭當中的王船。這是遊行隊伍當中由車子載行王船的情形，相較之下，與台灣屏東東港的王船，雖然相去甚遠，但基本的信仰與操作型態卻是一致的。從早期驅除瘟疫和瘴癘之氣，到目前的祈求平安和升官發財，燒王船的儀式一直在台灣的民間信仰活動上，扮演著百姓心靈轉化與再生的角色與作用。
