    Abstract: 大成殿是孔廟的主殿，供奉至聖先師孔子之牌位。它立在很高的台基之上，有階梯可登。在大成殿之前，有一座突出的台座，稱為月台，也稱為丹墀。台北孔子廟初建時，係利用台北築城之剩餘款，由當時台灣兵備道夏獻綸與台北知府陳星聚督工，在光緒七年（1881年）完成了大成殿、儀門與崇聖祠。第二年，再由台北仕紳提議募捐，再建造禮門、義路、檽星門、泮池與萬仞宮牆，到光緒十年（1884年）才竣工完成。
