    Abstract: 該劇本主要表現李旦昏庸無道，寵貴妃，縱奸黨，害皇后，殺忠良，臨終時交出玉璽，托奸相馬周輔理朝政，為馬周及其女兒馬妃竊國奪權提供機會。李旦死後，馬周父女勾結奸黨，加緊迫害皇后及太子李其隆，欲滅李家後代，奪取政權。老皇叔李貴及忠良後裔曹翠娥、鄧淮玉等擁太子其隆登基，其隆封李貴為輔國丞相，翠娥、淮玉為大元帥，統領三軍，粉碎馬周父女及其死黨陰謀，重振朝綱。
