    Abstract: 這是呂炳川教授在在新加坡地區從事田野調查時所做的記錄之一。這座象神的朔像是坐落在新加坡福壽堂當中，也成為中國人民間信仰裡的神祇之一。這呈現了一種當地印度教或是泰國以大象為聖物的宗教信仰系統，跟傳統中國宗教信仰融合的現象。新加坡宗教信仰自由，主要宗教有佛教、道教、回教、基督教等。
