    Abstract: 這是呂炳川教授在民國58年3月25日在台東縣蘭嶼鄉野銀村做田野工作時所拍的照片。在照片當中可以看的出來，呂炳川教授背著相機，和左手邊一位雅美族人及右邊一位當地的平地人，拍的一張工作紀錄的照片。雅美族又稱為達悟族，是台灣唯一海洋民族，居住在蘭嶼島。雅美族在行政區分上隸屬於台東縣蘭嶼鄉，總人口數約四千多人，分佈在紅頭、漁人、椰油、東清、胡島、銀野六村。
