本研究係探究幼保系男大一新生的生涯困境與因應策略,以提升男生選擇就讀非傳統性別科系之生涯適應。本研究採質性焦點團體訪談,受訪對象為中部一所科技大學幼保系101學年度入學的7名男大一新生。結果發現:受訪男大新生的生涯困境與挑戰有:與女生互動陌生不熟悉、男性支持系統與社交不足、被關注的焦點壓力、親友的質疑與不支持、幼保生涯規劃與發展的不明確、高中職非本科系的學習困難、對本科系的性別刻板印象等七項因素;其因應策略可分為個人、人際與結構等策略,每一向度的策略下各有其包括的內涵與具體的方法。本研究指出幼保系男大一新生的適應困境,乃是性別與生涯多元因素的交互作用;以及幼保系男大一新生的生涯因應,係為性別友善環境與課程規劃的成效。最後,對於研究方法與研究結果之應用亦提出相關建議。 This study explored career difficulties and coping strategies male freshmen at Department of Early Childhood faces; by attending non-traditional gender department it enhance the males choices of career adaption. This study used interviews from qualitative focus group; the interviewees were seven males from 101 academic year studying Early Childhood Development at an University of Science and Technology in central Taiwan. The results show the interviewees’ career difficulties andchallenges: unfamiliar interaction with girls, males’ social support systems inadequate, attention being the focus of pressure, relatives doubt and unwilling to support, unclear about career planning and development, difficulties from not learning about this major during on-senior high school, gender stereotypes for this undergraduate departmentetc. Their coping strategies can be divided into personal, interpersonal,and structural strategies. Each one has its own degree of strategy, including the content and specific method. This study pointed out the adaptive difficulties that are between the interaction of their gender and career, as well as the effectiveness of gender-friendly environmentand curriculum planning that helps them in career adaption. Finally, research methods and the application of research results also make relevant recommendations.
