In February 2022, amid the consternation of the world, Russia invaded Ukraine, triggering the largest international war seen in Europe since World War II. After the start of the war, most people sympathized with Ukraine and provided more or less assistance to Ukraine, both morally and substantively. At this point, Taiwan has not left behind, providing assistance and support, and some people have gained confidence from Ukraine and are more determined to move towards Taiwan independence. However, is Ukraine purely an innocent victim in this war? Is outside aid really reliable? Is the confidence that Taiwanese society gained from this war justified? Should we really support Ukraine? In this regard, this article argues that the perception of the Russian-Ukrainian war is actually a reflection from political ideology and a projection of Taiwan's future, which will be verified through online questionnaires.
