Globalization roughly covers areas of providing information globally, globalized ecology, globalized economy, globalized manufacture, globalized culture as well as globalized civil society. However, some of China’s scholars regard globalization simply as capitalization, Westernization, or Americanization, or strictly confine it in economic area. Why would they view globalization like that?In order to answer the above question, this paper is to focus on the meaning and development of globalization comprehensively. Also it is to discuss the current situation of China’s response to the globalization and its characteristics so as to understand why China chooses to accept and resist globalization at the same time.
